Alpine skiing: Marlies and Benjamin Raich have a third child

Austria’s former ski stars Marlies and Benjamin Raich have a third child. “We are happy to share this news! Our family will grow again,” Marlies Raich wrote on Facebook on Wednesday about a photo of her and her husband holding baby slippers in the picture. The Raichs already have two sons, Josef (2015) and Jakob (2017).

The double Olympic champion, three-time World champion and former overall World Cup winner Raich retired from active skiing in September 2015, about one year after his wife, who had won four Olympic and seven World Championship medals under her maiden name Schild.

The two ÖSV legends have been married since 25 April 2015. Benjamin Raich works as a TV expert for ORF at various technical races of the Alpine Ski World Cup.
