Ice hockey: DEL: Mannheim sovereign, Munich fails

The Adler Mannheim have consolidated their lead in the DEL table thanks to a mistake by master Red Bull Munich. The Adler increased their lead at the top by a 3-0 lead against the Krefeld Penguins to eight points, as Munich, who was the pursuer of the 250th DEL home game, lost to the Fischtown Penguins 2:3 after extra time.

Just six weeks after the 2:6 bankruptcy in Bremerhaven, Yannic Seidenberg (11th) brought the champion back on course, Alexander Friesen (27th) equalled. The renewed Munich leadership by Matthew Stajan (40th) equalized Jan Urbas (53rd). In the overtime Nicholas Jensen let the guests cheer after 100 seconds.

The ERC Ingolstadt had to take a 2:7 bankruptcy in the Bavarian Derby with the Straubing Tigers. In the Swabian-Franconian duel, the Augsburg Panthers beat the Nuremberg Ice Tigers 5:2 and moved up to fourth place with 37 points ahead of the Ingolstadt team (36).

In the first game after the separation from coach Rob Daum the Iserlohn Roosters lost under interim coach Jamie Bartman 1:3 against the Cologne sharks. In the cellar duel the taillight Schwenniger Wild Wings celebrated the third victory in a row with a 2:1 after penalty shots at the Grizzlys Wolfsburg.
