Alpine Skiing: Men’s World Cup 2018/2019: All information on TV broadcast, live stream, races, calendar, results

The men’s 2018/2019 Ski World Cup season started with a disappointment: the traditional start in Sölden fell victim to the weather. Marcel Hirscher and Co. therefore started the new season in Levi on 18 November. SPOX has all information about TV broadcast, live stream, races, calendar and results of the FIS Men’s Ski World Cup.

The 53rd World Cup season will take place after the cancellation of the Sölden giant slalom from 18 November to 17 March 2019. In addition to the World Championship in Aare in February, the men’s races in Wengen, Kitzbühel and Schladming are the major highlights of the season.

For men (subject to possible cancellations), 41 World Cup races will be held at 22 different World Cup venues. The big hunter is logically Neo-Papa Marcel Hirscher, who won the big crystal ball last year for the seventh time in a row and also won Olympic gold in the giant slalom and the combination.

The ORF broadcasts all races of the men’s Ski World Cup season live. In addition, ORF offers a livestream in its TVthek.

If you can’t watch the races on TV or stream, the SPOX LIVETICKER keeps you up to date.

The alpine combination will be obsolete after the season in the World Cup, new formats are to be included in the calendar, these will be strengthened parallel races.

The noble product of the parallel competitions are the City Events, where you want to bring skiing to the people in the cities. City races are scheduled for New Year’s Day on the Holmenkollen in Oslo and on 19 February in Stockholm immediately after the World Ski Championships in Aare.

* Replacement for Sölden

The men’s World Cup final will take place this season from 13 to 17 March 2019 in Soldeu in Andorra. The winter sports resort in the Pyrenees has only been on the World Cup calendar twice so far – in 2012 and 2016 – but only in the women’s singles, for the men it will be a premiere.
