NFL: Season out for Bengals-QB Dalton

The 2018 season is over for quarterback Andy Dalton of the Cincinnati Bengals. The “Red Rifle” suffered a right thumb injury during the 20:35 bankruptcy against the Cleveland Browns and was set to Injured Reserve.

That’s what the Bengals announced on Monday. While Jeff Driskel will be the probable replacement for Dalton, the Bengals hired Tom Savage from Waiver Wire. He was previously released by the San Francisco 49ers.

Dalton came to 2566 passing yards this season with 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions for the Bengals, who finished third in the AFC North with their 5-6 record – 2.5 games behind Pittsburgh and one behind Baltimore.

For the Bengals there are still duels with the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Oakland Raiders, Browns and Steelers on the program.
