Ski-Alpin: Lara Gut starts with a new name

Lara Gut now competes in the Ski World Cup under the name Lara Gut-Behrami. The addition of the surname of her husband Valon Behrami is at the request of the Ticino woman.

The 27-year-old has her first assignment with a new name on Tuesday in Lake Louise (Canada) in the first training for the downhill races on Friday and Saturday.

Lara Gut and the former Swiss national soccer player, who currently plays for Udinese in the Italian Serie A, got married in July this year. In the first races of the season, the 24-time World Cup winner had competed under her previous name.
