NFL: Super Bowl winner Browner must spend eight years in prison

Two-time Super Bowl winner Brandon Browner is sentenced to eight years in prison for attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend. The former cornerback had previously refused to testify before a court in Pomona, California.

The 34-year-old had won the Super Bowl in 2014 with the Seattle Seahawks and in 2015 with the New England Patriots.

Browner had been accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in La Verne in July 2018, choking her and then wrapping her in a carpet.

Her two children are said to have been in the apartment during the crime. Browner had been arrested a few hours after the crime.
