NBA: Isaiah Hartenstein shines in G-League with Monster-Statline

Isaiah Hartenstein has once again delivered a strong game at his next G-League Intermezzo for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, leading his team to a narrow 96-95 win over the Santa Cruz Warriors. The young German excelled on both sides of the pitch.

In a total of 38 minutes, Hartenstein had a strong double-double with 22 points and 23 rebounds (6 of them on the offensive board) and led his team in both categories. Not enough, the German also served 5 assists and blocked 5 throws in the defensive. In the end he stood at a plus/minus of +12.

The Vipers, however, started the game moderately and had to run behind by the middle of the second quarter. In the second half, the Texans were able to break away for the first time and went into the final quarter with an eight-point lead thanks to two threes by Jaylen Bond and Brandon Sampson in the final minute of the quarter.

But there the match became really close again, also due to Hartenstein’s foul problems. The NBA rookie was without points in the last 12 minutes and foul out just one minute before the end of the game. However, his teammates remained cool and, thanks to a decisive layout by Bruno Caboclo, secured their eighth victory of the season eight seconds before the end.
