NBA: Lakers: Ariza soon next to LeBron?

According to a media report, the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in a trade for Trevor Ariza from the Phoenix Suns. Previously it had been reported that several teams were on the wing.

Adrian Wojanrowski from ESPN provided the latest news in the Ariza case. He also revealed that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who has a no trade clause, was part of a deal between LA and Phoenix. Both teams are already working on possible three-team deals.

According to Wojnarowkis, the Suns want a playmaker and a pick in return for Ariza. However, no official deal can be completed until next Saturday, as Ariza only signed with the Suns last summer.

Ariza has 9.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in the current season. He was one of the most important pieces of the Houston Rockets Run puzzle last season. After the season, he joined the Suns in the off-season, who offered him a one-year contract for 15 million.
