Booker scorns the Suns

NBA professional Devin Booker qualifies for the quarter finals of the NBA2K20 tournament His team selection makes for laughs. DeMarcus Cousins goes through a bitter bankruptcy.

The NBA2K20 charity tournament of the basketball players of the American professional league continues.

In the night to Monday, the next four NBA stars have qualified for the quarter finals of the competition, which is broadcast by ESPN.

Instead of fighting for real playoff places, Devin Booker, Rui Hachimura, Andre Drummond and Montrezl Harrell virtually won the first round during the corona crisis.

His selection was not surprising from a sporting point of view, and his Twitter response to Booker’s question why he had rejected his own team was a source of amusement. He apparently does not agree with the ranking of the virtual Devin Booker.

His 85:75 victory was also to be expected. For one thing, he is seeded number five in the tournament, and for another, the Phoenix star is considered an avid gamer. He is passionate about playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which he has been streaming again and again via Twitch over the past few weeks.

Hachimura against Mitchell, who has recovered from a corona infection, in the thriller
Even closer was the match between Hachimura (Wahington Wizards) and Donovan Mitchell, the Japanese won 74:71 against the professional from Utah Jazz. Mitchell, like his teammate Rudy Gobert, had tested positive for the COVID 19 virus in March. Both are now healthy again.

In the duel of the centers DeMarcus Cousins against Clevelands Drummond did not stand a chance. Cousins lost 49-101 – the next bust this year after the former Warriors player failed to play for the LA Lakers due to injury and was dismissed as a Free Agent in February.

The other center match was won 73-51 by Harrell of the LA Clippers. This eliminated Domantas Sabonis of the Indiana Pacers from the charity tournament.
