In a restaurant in Florida Andre Drummond leaves 1000 dollars as a tip. The waitress can hardly believe her luck and is moved to tears.

NBA star Andre Drummond tipped 1000 dollars (about 916 Euro) when he visited a restaurant in Florida. This can be seen from his bill, which the restaurant and the waitress posted on Instagram.

According to the invoice, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ basketball player added the generous tip to the $164.25 bill on the receipt.

“When I came to the table to receive the payment, I couldn’t believe it,” wrote cellarman Kassandra Diaz on Instagram next to the photo of the receipt. “I was all excited and had tears of joy in my eyes.”

To which the Star Center promptly replied, “Thanks for being great.”

According to ESPN, restaurants in the region are allowed to serve guests again after the Corona break, but only at 25 percent capacity. Tips are generally more important for service staff in the USA than in Germany.
