Rieders team takes the lead again

With a clear win over Winnipeg, Tobias Rieder and the Calgary Flames once again take the lead in the play-offs’ qualifying round.

Ice hockey national player Tobias Rieder has opened the door to the round of sixteen of the NHL with the Calgary Flames. The Canadians defeated the Winnipeg Jets 6-2 at the final tournament in Edmonton and took the lead again in the qualifying round with a 2-1 win.

The winner of the best-of-five series moves on to the round of sixteen for the Stanley Cup. The man from Landshut in Ried came up with just under ten minutes of ice time, but after his goal in the opening duel, he failed to score for the second time in a row.

The Carolina Hurricanes were the first team in the qualifying round to win their ticket to the playoffs. The 2006 champions beat the New York Rangers 3-0 in their series without flaw. Eight clubs had their ticket to the round of sixteen secured before the start of the final tournament due to their position in the regular season.
