Fine for Schröder after blow

German NBA star Dennis Schröder receives a hefty fine after his punch in the abdomen from P.J. Tucker. Tucker also has to pay.

NBA professional Dennis Schröder has to pay after his suspension.

The league fined the German national player of Oklahoma City Thunder 25,000 dollars (about 21,000 euros).

Schröder had been sent off in the third quarter in Saturday (local time) in the fifth game of the play-off round of sixteen against Houston Rockets (80:114). The point guard had struck his opponent P.J. Tucker between the legs when he crashed into him.

Tucker, 2012 German champion with Brose Bamberg, cup winner and most valuable player (MVP) of the finals, also has to pay 25,000 dollars. The American had headbutt Schröder from behind after the action.

In the night to Tuesday the series continues. Houston leads 3:2 and is able to make the quarter finals perfect. Schröder has to win two consecutive games with OKC to advance.
