The second round of the Czech Masters of golf professionals in Prague had to be abandoned because of heavy rain.Former world number one Martin Kaymer (Mettmann) finished the second day before the storm after a weak performance with a 76 four strokes above the course standard and has to fear for the cut.The second round will continue on Saturday morning from 7.30 am.
At the time of the interruption, the Englishman Lee Slattery led the clubhouse with seven strokes under par (65) into the clubhouse.The second round of the Nuremberg player Bernd Ritthammer at the tournament, which was endowed with one million euros, was interrupted after the first hole.
The tournament in Prague is the prelude to qualifying for the Ryder Cup 2018 in Paris (28th place).till 30.September).Kaymer, who was recently in poor shape, hopes to qualify for the fifth time in a row for the traditional continental competition against defending champions USA. In 2010,2012 and 2014, Kaymer won with the European team, but lost significantly in the USA in 2016.
