Setback for the Washington Wizards.Markieff Morris probably has to go under the knife because of groin complaints and is therefore absent at the start of the training camp.

According to the Washington Post, this means that the power forward will fail for at least one month.The operation is scheduled for Friday.

Morris went through his normal training program in the summer, but felt pain in his workouts.However, the operation was postponed due to court proceedings and other family responsibilities.

Morris started last season for the Wizards on fourth place, scoring an average of 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds.
