ATP: Alexander Zverev leaves Shenzhen in the quarter-finals

Alexander Zverev is defeated by Bosnian Damir Dzumhur in the quarter-finals of the ATP tournament in Shenzhen.

Alexander Zverev (20) missed the semi-final of the ATP World Tour 250 tournament in Shenzhen, China.Five days after his triumph with the European team at the Laver Cup, the top seeded Hamburger failed after 1:31 hours with 4:6,5:7 because of the number six seeded Bosnian Damir Dzumhur, who on Sunday in St. Gallen.Petersburg celebrated its first title win on the ATP tour.

Zverev led 2-0 in the first set and then lost four games in a row.In the second round he was leading 4:1 and gave away three set points in a row with a 5:4 lead.The German number one had already struggled hard in the last sixteen and had only a difficult 2:40 hour win over the Belgian Steve Darcis.Alexander’s brother Mischa Zverev, number three of the seed list, had already been eliminated in the quarter-finals against Israeli Dudi Sela the day before.
