NFL: Survey: US population against protests and trump statements

The NFL teams’ ongoing protests against racial discrimination and President Donald Trump’s reactions and comments are not well received by the majority of the US population.

According to a survey conducted by the TV station CBS, 52 percent of respondents rated the teams’ protests as inappropriate, and 48 percent disagreed with Trump’s views.

The NFL has long been protesting against racial discrimination and police violence. After the attacks by US President Trump, who had among other things called for protesters to be kicked out, the actions increased.

Recently, the rival Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears had also set a common signal against racial discrimination. When the national anthem was played, all the pros, coaches and the other members of both teams put their arms together on the sidelines.
