WTA: Beijing: Muguruza abandons – Görges thus against Strycova

Industry leader Garbine Muguruza has had to prematurely terminate her first-round match at the WTA tournament in Beijing, which is endowed with 6.381 million dollars.In the duel against Czech Barbora Strycova, the Spanish Wimbledon winner gave up after a 1-6,0-2 deficit due to malaise.

In China’s capital, Angelique Kerber (Kiel/No. 12) and Andrea Petkovic (Darmstadt) will also be competing.The two-time Grand Slam winner Kerber played against Alize Cornet on Monday for the next round of the last sixteen.

Mona Barthel (Bad Segeberg) and Carina Witthöft (Hamburg) had already failed in the first round.
