Olympia 2018: Höfl-Riesch keeps his fingers crossed for “brother” Neureuther

Maria Höfl-Riesch has been keeping her fingers crossed for Felix Neureuther in the Olympic winter:”We grew up together, he is almost like a brother to me,” said the three-time Olympic champion in an interview with Sporthilfe:”An Olympic medal for him would be great, he still lacks the perfect career.

Neureuther (33), five-time World Championships medallist, hopes for an end to his sixth place at his last Winter Games. In Sochi in 2014, struck by the consequences of a car accident shortly before his departure, he was eighth in the giant slalom in Sochi and retired from the slalom, just like in Vancouver in 2010.2006 in Turin he was eliminated in the slalom and giant slalom.

Höfl-Riesch (32), who ended her career in 2014, will be playing in Pyeongchang/South Korea at the 2018 Winter Games (9th place).till 25.I was already in Rio last year at the Summer Olympic Games, which was a great experience. But of course, winter games are something special for me and I’m looking forward to seeing them from the other side this time,”she said.
