Good news from Bethanie Mattek-Sands: The US-American is back on the training field three months after her serious knee injury in Wimbledon.

“Please help me, please, please!” – These pleading cries of the 32-year-old American woman shook the tennis world in July.Mattek-Sands had torn her patella tendon in her sensational fall in Wimbledon and had to undergo surgery.

Now the five-time Grand Slam winner is back on the pitch in doubles.Mattek-Sands is working on her comeback with “sexy knee bandage”, Roger Federer’s memory backhand and lots of energy.

Mattek-Sands also has the forehand of her long-time double partner Lucie Safarova in her repertoire.Her return to the tour has been announced by the former number one of the double world rankings for early 2018.
