ATP-Challenger/ITF-Round-up: Maximilian Torture with Monterrey title and Career-High

Maximilian Marterer celebrated his second ATP-Challenger title of the year in Monterrey/Mexico.Peter Torebko was also successful.

Marterer defeated Bradley Klahn of the United States 7-6 (3), 7-6 (6) in the $100,000 finals, scoring eleven victories in just one defeat over the last few weeks.There was not a single break point throughout the match.

In the quarter-finals, Marterer had taken Dominik Köpfer from the tournament and won the semi-finals against Kevin King.For the 22-year-old, it was the fourth Challenger title of his career.Three weeks ago, Marterer had won in Banja Luka/Sri Lanka.In the new world ranking list, Marterer has improved by 24 places and is now in 108th place, the highest ranking ever.

At ITF level, Peter Torebko had reason to celebrate.Torebko won the title in Antalya, Turkey (15,000 US dollars) with a 6-2,6-2 final win over Croatian Mate Delic.In Lisbon/Portugal Romy Kölzer made it to the finals, defeating top seed Nuria Parrizas-Diaz 6-2,5:7,5:7,5:7 after a tough fight.
