ATP: Zverev in Halle until 2020

Tournament director Ralf Weber and the Gerry Weber Open in Halle have secured an absolute top star until 2020 with Alexander Zverev.

The fans in Germany can look forward to the performance of the best tennis player in the country for the next three years.The 20-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Gerry Weber Open in Halle.

“I can’t wait to serve Halle again.It’s one of my favorite tournaments on the tour,”Zverev told SID.Already in 2106 and in the current season the youngster was in the finals in Halle.Last year he had to admit defeat to his fellow countryman Florian Mayer and in the final 2017 Halle record winner Roger Federer.Tournament director Ralf Weber said about the new contract with the world’s number four:”This is great news for our tennis fans.Sascha Zverev is currently one of the most sought-after players in world tennis:” Zverev has qualified for the ATP World Tour Finals 2017 in London with an outstanding season in 2017 and has been able to compete with the best eight players of the season.
