WTA: Strycova wins in Linz

The Czech Barbora Strycova has won the Upper Austria Ladies’ Final in Linz.She won against top seeded Slovakian Magdalena Rybarikova 6:4,6:1

The 31-year-old won her second individual title after a season of almost one and a half hours.In the finals of the two top seeded players, Strycova scored five breaks in six attempts – on her own serve, she only allowed her opponent one break and was a power with 82 per cent points won in the first service.In the quarter-finals, Strycova had taken the last German participant out of the field with Tatjana Maria.Strycova’s victory brings her to the top 20 in tomorrow’s world ranking.

In the doubles match, Kiki Bertens/Johanna Larsson had already beaten Natela Dzalamidze/Xenia Knoll 3-6,6-3,[10-4].
