NBA: Jefferson moves to Denver

Richard Jefferson has decided to switch to the Denver Nuggets.This was confirmed by the 37-year-old on Monday to The Vertical.

“I chose Denver because I believe in what they do and build,”said Jefferson,”and I believe that I can make a positive contribution to the core of both on and off the court”.

Jefferson had been dismissed on Saturday by the Hawks, who had taken him out of Cleveland on the same day via trade.The Cavs had to clear a cadre position and sent Jefferson as well as the already dismissed Kay Felder to Atlanta.

Jefferson has now signed a contract in Denver for one year and $2.3 million, with reports that the bucks had also been bucking for the veteran, among other things.Jefferson had played a prominent role in the 79-game Cavs last season, scoring 5.7 points and winning the title with the Cavaliers in 2016.

According to information from ESPN Point Guard Jameer Nelson, the nuggets are being dismissed to make room for Jefferson.
