WTA: Görges with easy opening victory in Moscow

Julia Görges has reached the round of sixteen at the WTA Premier Tournament in Moscow.The German, who was seeded seventh, won against qualifier Polina Monova.

Fed Cup player Julia Görges (Bad Oldesloe) has loosely cleared her opening hurdle at the WTA tournament in Moscow.The 28-year-old won the Kremlin Cup against Russian qualifier Polina Monowa after 1:16 hours 6:0,6:3 and is now confronted with the Kazakh Yulia Putintseva.The seventh seeded Görges is the only German in Moscow to be in the main draw.
