ATP: Federer vs. NBA-Star in Ping Pong?

A duel between Roger Federer and an NBA star seems to be in the offing – when “FedEx” swapped his play equipment for a table tennis bat.

Once again, it shows that the sports superstars are also getting together privately. The latest example of this is Roger Federer and NBA star Klay Thompson.

Prior to the Masters in Shanghai, the future tournament winner “FedEx” visited the basketball stars of the Golden State Warriors at a game on their Asian tour against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In the cabin, together with the record champion of the yellow felt ball and the reigning NBA champions, pictures were taken and some conversations were held.

The journalist Anthony Slater is said to have picked up a conversation between Federer and Thompson, among other things. On Twitter, Slater released a tweet with the entertainment.Thompson is said to have asked Federer about his table tennis skills, to which the Swiss is said to have answered with “Very good”.The basketball star has also said that he has a solid ping-pong game.

Federe did not take long to be asked and retweeted the journalist’s mail.Federer wrote:”That sounds like a challenge to me”.The “Maestro” linked Thompson to inform his potential opponent of the matter.

He accepted the challenge and replied:”Give me the time and date.Let the games begin,”wrote one of the NBA’s top three shooters.

It remains to be seen whether the table tennis match between the two superstars will take place.Federer is known to be a joker for such jokes. The duel would of course be a great feast for the media. If a prognosis were required, tennis player Federer would probably have the advantage. Both opponents have a feeling for the ball.
