ATP: Wawrinka and Norman end cooperation after four years

The three-time Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka (32) and his former coach Magnus Norman (41) have ended their collaboration after four years. The Swede Norman gave family reasons for the surprising decision.

“I want to spend more time with my two young children in the future,”said Norman, who was once number two in the world, and said:”It was an honour for me to work with Stan. He’s a great player, but more importantly, he’s a fantastic person.”

Norman, Roland Garros finalist of 2000, had led the Swiss Wawrinka to major titles at the US Open (2016), French Open (2015) and Australian Open (2014).

The World Ranking Ninth Wawrinka, who is currently curing an injury to his left knee, has not yet decided on a successor,”Magnus was not only part of my team, but also part of my family. I would like to thank him for the four wonderful years,”Wawrinka explained in a press release.
