Roger Federer reached the semi-finals after a hard-fought defeat of Adrian Mannarino at his home tournament in Basel.

In the fourth game of the third set Roger Federer had to unpack his magic: Adrian Mannarino, who had won his first set against the Swiss player on Friday evening, returned directly to the baseline at Breakball – but Federer saved himself with a half volley, never looked back from there.
