ATP: Rublev rushes to the first #NextGen final

Andrey Rublev is the first finalist at the NextGen-Masters in Milan. The Russian had no problems in the semi-final with Borna Coric from Croatia.

62 minutes, that’s how fast it can go, even if you play on three winning sets. But only up to four games in each case – and Andrey Rublev was faster in each of the three rounds. 4:1,4:3 (6) and 4:1 were the goals for the 20-year-old Russian against Borna Coric in the end. In the final on Saturday, the team will now face either fellow countryman Daniil Medvedev or Hyeon Chung from Korea.

Rublev started in Milan after Alexander Zverev’s rejection as the tournament’s favourite, he is ranked 37th in the world ranking. Hubs his victory against Grigor Dimitrov at the US Open will be dominated by Andrey Rublev’s 2017 result: his first tournament win on the ATP Tour. Umag, as Lucky Loser.
