Isaiah Hartenstein was drafted by the Houston Rockets this summer in the second round of drafts. The 19-year-old didn’t get a contract and is now playing for the farm team in the G-League, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The first week was rather mediocre.
Hartenstein was used in all four of the Valley Vipers’ games, but only by the bank. In an average of 13.3 minutes, the Big has hitherto been 4.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1 steal per game. However, the international player only shot 27.8 percent out of the field. On the other hand, his 2.5 offensive rebounds per game were positive.
Hartenstein had captured 9 rebounds to open the match against Oklahoma City Blue. In the game against Wisconsin Herd, he scored 9 points, his best score to date. The Vipers, however, lost three of the first four games.
The Rio Grande squad includes some well-known names from the NBA, including Guard Briante Weber, who has hitherto played 18.7 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Tony Wroten, Troy Williams and RJ Hunter are also players who have already earned a floor above the first spurs.
