NHL: Catch-up stopped: Draisaitls Oilers lose in New York

The Edmonton Oilers’ chase to catch up with international Leon Draisaitl in the NHL has been stopped. After two victories, the old champion lost 2:4 to the New York Rangers, who started the season weakly. The Oilers remain penultimate in the West – five points behind a play-off position.

Two-time Olympic champion Rick Nash was the Rangers’ match winner with two goals, who scored a 2-1 deficit in the second period.

Superstar Connor McDavid had shot Edmonton in the lead. Draisaitl, who had collected nine score points in the previous seven games, went empty this time.
