ATP Finals: Continents/Peers defend title

The Finn Henri Kontinen and John Peers from Australia successfully defended their double title at the ATP final in London.

Australia’s runners-up Australian Open winners won the final against top favourites Lukasz Kubot/Marcelo Melo (Poland/Brazil/No. 1)6-4,6-2.

After 70 minutes, continents (27) and peers (29) turned their first match point in front of about 17,000 spectators in the o2 arena. The duo won a total of 450,000 euros in prize money for their tenth joint title. The Wimbledon winners Kubot (35) and Melo (34) received a total bonus of 358,000 euros.

Oliver Marach/Mate Pavic and Raven Klaasen/Rajeev Ram were joined by two replacement teams during the week, with Marach and Pavic losing Bob and Mike Bryan in their only appearance.
