NBA: New contract for Mike James with the Suns?

Mike James is one of the Phoenix Suns’ pleasant surprises this season. However, the Point Guard currently only has a two-way contract, which will be signed on 6 December. December expires. The Suns want to clear the rookie a guaranteed rust spot.

The 27-year-old is the only player with a two-way contract that started in a game. James started in ten games and is an integral part of the rotation. However, two-way players are only allowed to spend 45 days with the NBA team. The 6th. December would have reached this limit for James.

We’re trying to get him into our 15-man squad,”said General Manager Ryan McDonough azcentral recently,” We’re looking into several options to make it happen, but Phoenix’s squad is full of 15 men at the moment.

It seems likely that the Suns will try to open another trade to make room for James.
