Australian Open: Kuznetsova threatens Melbourne’s exit

After her surgery on the left wrist, Svetlana Kuznetsova has to take a longer break. A return to the Australian Open seems almost impossible for the 32-year-old Russian.

Small surgery – but not everything is okay! At the beginning of November Kuznetsova had placed herself under the knife to have her damaged wrist repaired. But the hoped-for lightning comeback doesn’t work now.

“The diagnosis is not very favorable,”the two-time Grand Slam winner told Russia’s Sport Express,”I’m still recovering from the operation. The doctor couldn’t tell me when to start training again. Which is why it’s very unlikely that I’ll be going to Australia.”

However, the twelfth in the World Rankings is still full of optimism:”You have to overcome the challenges with a raised head and a broad smile. The pain will go away, all wounds will heal, only the feeling of having mastered everything will remain,”Kuzi wrote on her Instagram page.

In this sense: don’t rush into things and continue to improve!
