Golf: World Rankings: Returnee Woods climbs 531 places up the rankings

Golf superstar Tiger Woods, after his successful comeback on the Bahamas this weekend, is on the week’s World Ranking of Ascenders of the Week. The 41-year-old Californian finished ninth at the Hero World Challenge after a nine-month forced break.

He improved his ranking by 531 places from position 1199 to 668.

The US trio Dustin Johnson continues to lead the golf world ahead of Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas. Bahamas winner Rickie Fowler (USA) climbed from ninth to seventh place. Former number one Martin Kaymer (Mettmann) slipped from 71. on the 74th. Rank down.
