ATP: Kyrgios, Zverev and Dimitrov participate in FAST4 International

The FAST4 International will be held for the second time and will once again feature celebrity guests. Nick Kyrgios, Alexander Zverev and Grigor Dimitrov will be at the start.

The FAST4 International Tournament is on its way again and will once again feature top stars in 2018. Last season, Kyrgios, Dominic Thiem and superstar Rafael Nadal met for a show tournament in Australia.

The 8th. On January 1,2018, the fans will once again be delighted on site and can look forward to spectacular tennis. Among the participants this time are: Kyrgios, Dimitrov and the German “Sascha” Zverev.

In the FAST4 tournament, the game mode is slightly changed and the sets are played only up to four games, with a tiebreak at 3:3. In addition, the net rule is omitted on impact. This mode was adapted after the tournament in January by the ATP NextGen finals in Milan and provided a great change.

“The FAST4 tournament in Sidney was a lot of fun for me and I’m looking forward to the next edition”, said Kyrgios during the tournament. In 2018, the yellow felt ball of Kyrgios and Co. in the Ken Rosswell Arena at the Olympic Park Tennis Center.

“The level was very high last year and I expect Dimitrov and Zverev to be even higher,”added the Australian-born Kyrgios. The 22-year-old is pleasantly surprised by the changed rules and looks forward to the other course of the game:”It’s a different game than what we usually get on the tour. It ensures that important points and pressure situations arise earlier in the match. It’s fun and brings joy to the audience – it’s fast and exciting!”

The tournament is hosted by the Australian Tennis Association and aims to bring spectators closer to tennis. Around the event you can find some promotions with current and former professionals and provides a great atmosphere. In addition, the list of entries with the number three (Dimitrov) and four (Zverev) in the world ranking is top-class.
