WTA: Tomljanovic – “Wouldn’t win a single point”

Alja Tomljanovic continues to fight for a comeback. At her side: Nick Kyrgios, whom she knows better than anyone else in world tennis.

A few weeks ago, Alja Tomljanovic and Nick Kyrgios met again in Hawaii a few weeks ago, and it remains to be seen whether this will result in long-term reunification. Born in Croatia, Kyrgios knows Kyrgios as well as hardly anyone else on the tour – except Thanasi Kokkinakis. And lance for the Australian number one.

“What you see on TV and in the newspapers is what you see on the court,” Tomljanovic said in an interview with Adelaide Now,”We all have our negative sides when things aren’t going well, but the public would never see Kyrgios? true character. “Some things in life are just not fair.”

Tomljanovic himself is still struggling with injury problems, the 24-year-old’s shoulder has been tormenting her for years. In fact, Tomljanovic and Kyrgios sometimes meet on the court. To hit balls with him is what helps my tennis. Of course, we never play seriously, because then I wouldn’t win a single point. Sometimes the spin and everything else is just too much for me.”

Alja Tomljanovic is planning to compete with women for the first time in Brisbane. Good results are imperative: Tomljanovic is currently only ranked 118th in the world rankings.
