ITF Round-up: Alexander Erler and Peter Goldsteiner with semi-finals

Good week just before Christmas for two Austrian participants on the ITF tour.

The 20-year-old Erler reached the semi-finals at the 15,000cc in Antalya/Turkey, but was defeated by Dante Gennaro, the tournament’s number four, 2:6,6:4,4:6, and thus narrowly missed his first ITF singles final.

Peter Goldsteiner did the same in Islamabad/Pakistan, also with a 15,000cc. The 27-year-old was seated at number six and had taken fourth in the quarter-final with Shalva Dzhanashiya, but lost to two seeded Enrique Lopez-Perez in the semi-finals with 1:6,1:6.
