ATP: Marach/Pavic triumph in Doha

Oliver Marach and his Croatian double partner Mate Pavic secured the title at the ATP World Tour 250 tournament in Doha. The 2017 Wimbledon finalists beat Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares in the final.

Dream start into the new tennis year for Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic! In the fourth joint final of the tour, the congenial duo was able to celebrate the title number two. The Austrian-Croatian combo celebrated its premiere success last year at the indoor tournament in Stockholm.

Marach/Pavic crowned their brilliant tournament week without a set with a 6-2, -7-6 (6) final win over top seeded British-Brazilian pairing Jamie Murray/Bruno Soares. For the 37-year-old veteran from Graz, it was already his 18th birthday. Double title in his career. Marach’s 13 years younger partner Pavic could cheer for the ninth time about a tournament victory.
