Andy Murray doesn’t want to think of a career end after his hip surgery. Above all, he wants daughter Sophia to see at some point how he earns his money.
After the Brisbane exit Andy Murray wanted to evaluate all possibilities to avoid an operation – only days later there was the info from the hospital in Melbourne: hip surgery, everything went well.
Whether and when Murray will be able to return to the tour remains to be seen, however; he is planning a start to the grass season, so it was heard that as a two-time Wimbledon champ, a comeback on the Holy Lawn would of course be fine.
Murray is not only motivated by the prospect of London, but also by looking to the distant future: daughter Sophia, who will be two years old in February, should understand why Daddy has earned her living by doing so,”I would like my oldest daughter to see me play and somehow understand that I have done this for a living,”Murray told the British Times.
“It’d be cool if she could drop by sometime, if I hit a few balls.” That would be like other children doing the tour with their parents when they are traveling with them and at an age when they really understand something of what they are doing,”Murray continues.
If the hip holds and Murray celebrates his comeback in summer, this should be possible. Murray will be on the 15th. May finally 31 years old – for the tennis pro of today there are probably still a few active years in it.
