ATP: Bautista Agut wins final in Auckland

Spanish tennis pro Roberto Bautista Agut has won the seventh title of his career at the ATP tournament in Auckland, New Zealand. The world rankings-21. beat Juan Martin del Potro 6-1,4-6,6-4 in the final.

Despite his defeat on Monday, the Argentinean returns to the top 10 for the first time since August 2014. Bautista Agut is challenged at the Australian Open in Melbourne on Tuesday in his first-round match against fellow countryman Fernando Verdasco. The winner of the game will face either Davis Cup player Cedrik-Marcel Stebe (Vaihingen/Enz) or Maximilian Marterer (Nuremberg) in the second round.
