WTA: Katie Swan signs with Andy Murray

One of Britain’s greatest talents, 18-year-old Katie Swan, is now under contract with Andy Murray.

“I am pleased to announce that I have signed up to Andy Murray’s 77 Sports Management,”Swan twittered a few days ago. She is very much looking forward to having Murray as her mentor. Swan posted a photo of himself as a child – and Murray at the award ceremony.

Swan had reached the Women’s Youth Final at the Australian Open in 2015 and made her debut in the British Fed Cup team in 2016, at 16 years of age and 316 days as the youngest British player of all time. She is currently ranked 301st in the women’s world ranking.

The “77” in Murray’s sports management agency stands for the number of years between the last British Wimbledon victory of Fred Perry (1936) and Murray’s first triumph (2013).
