Australian Open: Bernard Tomic after qualifying out:”Count my millions now.”

Bernard Tomic has just missed the qualification for the Australian Open. A dedicated performance is followed by another drop-out after that.

6:1,6:7 (5), 4:6 was the score against Lorenzo Sonego, who qualified for the first time for a Grand Slam main draw. For Tomic, currently the No. 142 in the ranking, it will go down further after his third round appearance in the previous year.

The Australian defended himself to the best of his ability, defending two match points in the last game. But it wasn’t enough, after nine consecutive years in the main draw, Tomic is on his way home from the Main Event’s first rally.

Of course not without doing something for his reputation in the end. When asked what he was going to do, Tomic replied:”I’m just counting my money, that’s all. In return, you can do what he did on the court court, Tomic said, before saying goodbye with a “bye-bye”.
