Australian Open: Challenged Novak Djokovic beats Ramos-Vinolas

Despite hip problems, Novak Djokovic has reached the round of sixteen in Melbourne. In addition, Tomas Berdych won against Juan Martin del Potro.

Djokovic won after 2 hours 21 minutes 6:2,6:3,6:3 against the Spaniard, in the last sixteen against Hyeon Chung, who had won against Alexander Zverev.

Djokovic was not endangered in a playful manner, but had to be treated several times in the hip area from the beginning of the second set. In the course of the match, he scored twelve break-outs, five of which he used, while Ramos-Vinolas did not exploit any of his six opportunities.

Tomas Berdych in Melbourne presents himself slightly below the radar but all the more impressive. He was also injured at the end of 2017, but seems to have made a good preparation. 6:3,6:3,6:2 was the score against Juan Martin del Potro. Berdych now faces Fabio Fognini, who won in five sets against Julien Benneteau.
