Australian Open: Federer continues without set loss – quarter-finals against Berdych

Roger Federer (36) continues on course for 20th place at the Australian Open. Grand Slam title. The defending champion from Switzerland won against the Hungarian Marton Fucsovics in 2:01 hours 6:4,7:6 (7:3), 6:2 and entered the quarter-finals without losing a set. There Federer will meet Tomas Berdych on Wednesday.

Against the 32-year-old Czech, the Grand Slam record winner has won 19 of the 25 previous duels. Federer hasn’t lost to Berdych for five years, but last season he defeated him on his way to his majestic titles in Melbourne and Wimbledon.

However, Berdych is on his way back to his top form after back problems. After defeating Argentina’s Juan Martin del Potro, he also missed Fabio Fognini from Italy 6-1,6-4,6-4,6-4.
