Davis Cup: Noah Announces Farewell as Davis Cup Captain

Former tennis pro Yannick Noah has announced his retirement as captain of the French Davis Cup team after this season.

“No matter what happens this year, it will be my last captain,”said the Frenchman at the presentation of his team for the first-round duel against the Netherlands (2nd place in the Dutch team). till 4. February) in Albertville. Noah now wants to dedicate himself to “other projects” again.

The 57-year-old had led France to the tenth Davis Cup triumph last year with a final victory over Belgium. Former number three in the world has also made a name for itself in France as a singer with six number one albums.
