Australian Open: Roger Federer: United with Norman

His excursions with the cup “Norman” into the Swiss mountains provided quite an amusement last year – after the title defence Roger Federer’s reunion turned out to be all the more cordial.

Even though he assured Jim Courier that he owns a very nice cup room: Roger Federer’s trophies – or the replicas – have been phased out since last year.

After the Australian Open triumph in 2017, Federer surprised by simply giving the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup the abbreviation “Norman” and treating it like an old friend. There seems to be a continuation this year. Federer documented the first short trips with Norman on Twitter: the reunion with the team, a quick photo with coach Severin Lüthi, the departure from the stadium – and a picture of the official press shoot on the day after the final. Quote:”Norman shines even more in daylight.”

Continuation? Follow certainly!
