WTA: Shape curve points upwards: Lisicki in Taipei quarter-finals

Sabine Lisicki is in the quarter-finals at the WTA-Tournament in Taipei. In her second appearance at the comeback after a break of almost three months, the 28-year-old won 6-4,6-1 against Nao Hibino from Japan. My next opponent is Romanian Monica Niculescu.

The world rankings-246. Lisicki turned the decisive match point in Taiwan’s capital after 70 minutes. The Berliner is the only German tennis player in the main draw.

Lisicki had injured his knee in Limoges/France at the beginning of November and had to undergo surgery later. Not until the week before the tournament, she had returned to Luxembourg after a lengthy leg injury.
