Novak Djokovic visited a specialist in Prague to solve his elbow problems. His trainer Radek Stepanek made the contact.
The future of the Serbian remains uncertain. After returning from the Australian Open, Djokovic has left himself open to undergo surgery on the elbow.
At the first major of the year, Djokovic failed in three sets in the last 16 at South Korea’s Hyeon Chung,”I’m not feeling well,”Djokovic said after the match,”That’s frustrating. I’ve had such a long break, but apparently not everything’s healed yet.”
Nikola Pilic, Djokovic’s youthful trainer, however, is concerned about the career of the Serbian:”It’s a little funny, because the surgeon wasn’t sure if an operation would really help,”he said,”so I’m not sure if an operation would make the elbow 100 percent fit. However, Novak should not enter any tournaments unless he is in perfect health.”
The 30-year-old, who has meanwhile slipped to 13th place in the world rankings, has named Indian Wells and Miami for the ATP Masters 1000 tournaments.
