Davis Cup: Spain after 3:1 next opponent of Germany

Albert Ramos-Vinolas has taken Spain to the quarter-finals with a four-set win over Cameron Norrie. That’s where we’re going against Germany.

Ramos-Vinolas won after almost four hours of play 7:6 (4), 2:6,2:6,7:6 (2), 6:2 and finished 3:1. Spain will welcome the German team from 6th place. until April 8th, the week after the Masters tournament in Miami.

Alexander Zverev has already made an indirect commitment to this meeting. After his win over Nick Kyrgios and his victory over Australia, he said:”As long as we win, I’ll play. If I get nominated, I’ll play in the quarter-finals.”

The Spaniards had more to fight against the British (without Andy Murray) than expected. On Friday, Cameron Norrie had surprisingly made up for a 2-0 deficit against Roberto Bautista Agut and made up for the 1-1 defeat. However, Pablo Carreno Busta and Feliciano Lopez took home the important 2-1 win yesterday with their one-two win over Dominic Inglot/Jamie Murray.
