ATP: Matches live on Facebook – David Goffin leads the way

Unique exception or groundbreaking for the future? With the help of a sponsor, David Goffin’s matches in Montpellier will be broadcast live on his Facebook page.

David Goffin has left his mark on the end of the 2017 season like only a few other players – even though the Belgian has been the most outstanding single player in the ATP World Cup final against Grigor Dimitrov and in the Davis Cup final. Goffin’s popularity in his home country has not been affected, on the contrary.

The start into the new season didn’t go as planned – against seasoned Julien Benneteau the Australian Open was already over in round two – David Goffin is looking forward optimistically. Especially since Goffin and his team-mates had beaten the team from Hungary in round one of the Davis Cup a few days ago.

This week in Montpellier, where he will try to succeed Alexander Zverev as champion.

And where Goffin has something completely new for Belgian fans: all matches of the current number seven in the world at the ATP World Tour 250 tournament will be broadcast live on his Facebook page. This is made possible by a sponsor of the 27-year-old Belgian.

“I am very happy to be able to allow Belgian fans in my country to watch all my matches live and free of charge on Facebook at the Open Sud de France,”said Goffin in a broadcast. Goffin will play his first match either against Gilles Simon or German qualifier Yannick Maden.
